This turbine is well built. All around one of the best I have tried for low wind’s. There is a video on you tube with what this turbine look’s like out of the box. Just search wind max turbine HY-400 on you tube. Power output is excellent for low wind. All around 5 star’s. I am a electrician these can be a bit tricky to install and I suggest that you have a electrician wire them for you. The rest of the install can be fairly easy.

I received this turbine in very good condition and fast. I will be setting it up as a hybrid system with my solar array of 350 watts. So my max output will now be 850 watts. I can not speak for the charge controller that comes with this turbine, because I will be using my xantrex c-60 controller instead, with a dump load hot water heater which is already in service. And yes, I did have to purchase a stop switch separately. But all in all, I think this will be a very nice addition to my system. It will cut my generator use considerably. I will also be mounting wind speed/weather station system on my turbine tower.

|Incomplete Set-Up!!! Have to Spend $150 More for Missing Parts!!!,
So I bought this wind turbine for almost $700, and started trying to put everything together when I read in the manual that the setup would not work, unless I bought two additional pieces of equipment that WERE NOT included with the product! BUYER BEWARE! THE PRODUCT BEING SOLD ON THIS PAGE IS NOT A COMPLETE SETUP, and you will have to spend an additional $150 (or more) on exclusive Windmax products to make it work! I’m so thinking about returning this just because I feel like [...] I didn’t read anywhere on the product page about how I would need to buy an extra $150 worth of equipment before I could make the product work! I am very upset! Don’t waste your money on this, Windmax has already shown that they are not honest. So how can I trust that they were even honest about half of the things this product was supposed to do. Yep, I think I’m gonna return it!
